Painting - Beauty and the Beast
I have finally completed my first oil painting and it surprisingly didn't take too long to complete.
Over the span of one weekend, I would say it took approximately 6hours to complete.
Unfortunately I didn't have any painting oil at the time so it is still (2 weeks on) in the process of drying.
Any questions on any materials used etc., let me know :)

Music Moments - Mona
I have recently discovered a band, who go by the name Mona (pictured above) and was immediately drawn in to their music.
Mona are from Nashville, Tennessee, and were definitely one of the best new bands of 2011.
I would describe their music as rock/indie (but mainly rock) and I have been listening to their debut self-titled album this past week.
Their songs are definitely catchy and on my first listening I would say Mona have been heavily influenced by fellow Nashiville rockers Kings of Leon.
Their music has quite a similar vibe but by no means are they identical.
Mona is a band definitely worth checking out.
Their debut album is available from itunes from as little as €6.99 (which is a steal in my opinion).
My favourite song from the album is probably 'Shooting the Moon', and 'Teenager' is another favourite of mine.
This band will be big in the future, mark my words!

Step by step - How to draw 'Winnie the Pooh'
![]() |
| You will want to start by drawing some basic circular shapes of the character (aka Winnie the Pooh) |
![]() |
| Next you will need to add more circular shapes to the shapes you have already drawn as seen in the first picture. This will include drawing in more circular shapes for his arms, legs, and face. |
![]() |
| Once you are happy with your drawing, make the character more defined by darkening the lines you have drawn. |
![]() |
| Now erase all the extra guide lines you have previously drawn. |
![]() |
| And finally, add in shading (for me shading makes a picture) and you are finished. |
